Our Grand Cayman Spa Etiquette

Visiting La Mer Spa in Grand Cayman

Whether you’re visiting our spa for the first time or you’re a familiar face, it’s important to follow our etiquette standards. We have designed a range of luxury spa packages in Grand Cayman to help you relax and rejuvenate. Our skilled, dedicated team wants you to get the most out of your experience, but this involves you and other guests playing a part in creating a harmonious environment.

Read our etiquette guide below before your visit to ensure your spa treatment is as indulgent and rewarding as possible. If you have any questions for La Mer Spa about your appointment or our spa packages, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Arrive at Our Grand Cayman Spa on Time

Please try to be punctual. If you think you will be late, always call and let us know you’re delayed. Late arrivals will be subject to reduced treatment times. The chances are there is another person booked right after you.

Help Us Keep a Quiet Environment

Silence any electronic devices; even better, leave them in your room. Be mindful of other guests and speak softly. Remember, people around you are trying to relax, too.

Using Bathrooms During Your Treatment

You are allowed to use the bathroom during your treatment, but it will affect the continuity of your therapist. So, make sure you are ready for your treatment without any interruptions.

Shower Before Your Appointment

Please take a shower before you come to our Grand Cayman spa. Not only will your massage therapist greatly appreciate it, but cleaning your body before your treatment will also mitigate any personal hygiene insecurities you may have.

Food and Drinks Before Your Visit

Before visiting our spa, eat a low-calorie meal to maintain your consciousness level. Avoid drinking alcohol before your treatment as it will make you dehydrated and will spoil your whole experience.

Shaving or Waxing Before Your Spa Treatment

It’s entirely your decision to shave or wax before your spa treatments. However, if you choose a salt treatment, you should strictly avoid shaving or waxing beforehand.

Communicate with Your Therapist

You should communicate with your therapist before starting your treatment. If you have any medical complications, blood clots, or injuries, you must tell them before starting so that they can take care of it/them and you do not have to bear any pain afterwards.

If you have to attend a function afterwards, let your therapist know. They will make sure you leave without any marks. However, once your treatment starts, less is more. Our luxury spa packages in Grand are all about relaxation and indulgence, so it’s important that you disconnect.
