What type of spa is La Mer Spa?

La Mer Spa provides a number of different services and therefore falls under many spa categories. First and foremost, we are a Day Spa, which is defined as a spa offering a variety of professionally administered spa services to clients on a day-use basis.

La Mer Spa is devoted to overall well-being through a variety of professional services that encourage the renewal of mind, body, and spirit.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

To make the most of your Spa experience and support the benefits of your treatment, we recommend you arrive a minimum of 10 minutes prior to your scheduled service start time.

Late arrivals will be subject to reduced treatment times.

What should I bring with me?

For your convenience everything you need is provided!

The Spa can not be held responsible for lost or damaged items. Please leave valuables at home.

What should I wear?

This is a matter of personal preference, and we will never compromise your modesty. During all treatments, you will be properly draped for ensured privacy. Many guests choose to disrobe completely, but others prefer to leave their undergarments on.

Therapists will only expose the portion of your body that is being treated at the time.

If you are having a treatment for the first time, feel free to ask our spa attendant how you should be dressed.

What if I have special health concerns?

Please inform us of any health conditions, allergies, or injuries that could affect your treatments or use of our spa amenities when making your Spa reservation.

First-time guests will be asked to complete a personal health form prior to receiving any treatments.

Communication with your service provider is essential for you to receive the most personalized care. All information is confidential.

What services can I enjoy during pregnancy?

We offer many services that are both safe and enjoyable for expecting mothers. Our concierge team will be happy to assist you in selecting the perfect treatment(s).

Certain treatments and techniques may not be suitable during the first trimester. We recommend that you check with your physician before booking any spa services.

Can I use my cell phone, personal electronic devices, or camera while at the Spa?

The Spa environment is one of tranquillity and relaxation. Please help us to maintain the serenity of the Spa by refraining from using your mobile phone, or personal electronic devices while enjoying your experience.

This also ensures the privacy of all of our guests and maintains a quiet and relaxing environment.

What is your cancellation or change policy?

As a courtesy to all, we ask that an eight-hour notice be given if you need to cancel or change your appointment.

For cancellations within less than eight hours of notification or no-shows, guests will be charged the full treatment fee.

Please keep in mind that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled services.

What payment methods does La Mer Spa accept?

We accept all major credit cards, room charges, Morritts’ gift vouchers, as well as cash.

Please note that we do not accept payment by check.

What is customary when it comes to tipping?

There is a 15% gratuity automatically added to checks.

Should you feel inclined to add extra, you can do so by leaving cash in the therapist’s envelope at the front desk, on the room charge, or credit card slip.

How long can I stay at the Spa?

When your treatment ends and the therapist extends an invitation to “take your time getting up” while they leave the room, just how long is it acceptable for one to continue lying there depends on the experience

In most instances, the treatment room will be needed in the next 10 minutes or so for the next guest. It is certainly appropriate to take your time while dressing, such as five to 10 minutes.

Can I consume alcoholic drinks before my appointment?

Please refrain from alcoholic drinks prior to any service in our spa and wellness areas including facials, massages, body treatments, and the use of the sauna area.

Safety is always first as complexions and consuming alcohol could have health implications.

What is the minimum Spa age?

The Spa facilities and services are catered to adults only and are appropriate for guests 16 years of age and older.
